From Dublin Airport by car:
When exiting the Airport follow signs for City Centre (N1). Just at the tunnel take the extreme left lane (do not enter the tunnel). Drive for approximately 1km and turn left onto Collins Avenue (R103). Keep straight for 2.9km and then turn right on to Howth Road (R105). Derwent Lodge is 800 meters from here on the right side of the road.

From Dublin City Centre:
Take Bus Number H1, H2, H3 or 6 from Lower Abbey Street Stop Number 7591 (across the road from the Peacock / Abbey Theatre) and get off at stop number 527 which is called “Ashbrook / St. Laurence Road” we are approximately 2-3 minutes walk from here. The journey from the city centre to here is about 10 minutes.

The DART suburban train stations at Killester and Clontarf Road are approx. 7 minutes walk away.

From either of these DART stations, the following places of interest can be reached:

  • Malahide – 20 minutes travel. Visit Malahide Castle, Malahide Marina and the picturesque village of Malahide.
  • Howth – 20 minutes travel. Visit Howth Castle and Transport Museum, Howth Harbour with its many restaurants and pubs. Great walking opportunties, e.g. Howth Cliff Walk, Howth Summit, Red Rock.
  • Bray – 40 minutes travel. Bray to Greystones – 2 hour walk.
  • Aviva Stadium – 20 minutes travel to the Lansdowne Road stop. Many sports and concert opportunities.
